I wanted to make a new clutch bag design which incorporated my popular upon a butterfly and complimented it's pink and orange hues, so I chose to make it in a beautiful deep cerise soft leather and combined it with a rich bronze foiled leather lining and piping. I must say I’m really pleased with this design and colour combination, I think it makes colours on the butterfly really stand out. 
 
I have also designed a bag big enough to fit your phone and any essentials you might need for a lovely summer garden party or any evening out. The bag zips at the back and contains a little pink pocket for all your essentials, plus I thought a wristlet handle would look good and keep your hand free for your summer Pimms. 
 
Each piece of leather is cut by hand and meticulously fitted together using my unique leather marquetry technique. To emphasize sustainability, I source recycled black leather from damaged garments that would otherwise have ended up in landfill. Only the finest sections of the leather are chosen and carefully cleaned for repurposing.
 
Once all the leather pieces are assembled, I stitch them together using my trusty companion, 'Gerty', a 1960's Pfaff rolling-foot sewing machine. Finally, I add the finishing touches to bring the piece to life.
