As Valentine's Day approaches, I've been contemplating something unique to create. That's when the idea of a love letter with a secret message came to mind. Valentine's Day is a celebration of love, whether it's for a partner, friend, relative, or most importantly, for yourself. It can be easy to overlook self-love and kindness, especially for those who struggle with accepting compliments.
 
This little winged leather envelope holds a small message card so you can keep this secret close to your heart, wherever you go.
 
Each piece of leather is cut by hand and meticulously fitted together using my unique leather marquetry technique. Once all the leather pieces are assembled, I stitch them together using my trusty companion, 'Gerty', a 1960's Pfaff rolling-foot sewing machine. Finally, I add the finishing touches to bring the piece to life.
