This is a new design is based on my ever-popular rainbow ice cream phone bag. My original pattern was for a phone slip case with a card holder on the back. This time I wanted to make the bag a bit bigger, adding space for other essentials you might want to take on a day out. Like keys, a credit card, a lipstick, tissues and maybe some mints etc. These are just a few of my everyday essentials for a day out say in London, when I want to travel light. 
 
This new bag is made from a luxurious soft foiled silver cow leather, I chose this leather because of the way it makes the colours in the ice cream really pop. I have used a new complimentary lilac Leather lining which also incorporates an internal silver card pocket and metallic catch, to keep your credit card safe. The detachable leather strap matches the bag, being made of the same foiled silver leather. The extra thickness adds durability and comfort. 
 
The ice cream is made using my signature leather marquetry technique. Each piece of leather is cut by hand and meticulously fitted together. To emphasize sustainability, I source recycled black leather from damaged garments that would otherwise have ended up in landfill. Only the finest sections of the leather are chosen and carefully cleaned for repurposing.
 
Once all the leather pieces are assembled, I stitch them together using my trusty companion, 'Gerty', a 1960's Pfaff rolling-foot sewing machine. Finally, I add the finishing touches to bring the piece to life.
