I’m a romantic heart and I always try to put some love into everything that I make. Hearts are one of my favorite symbols so they often appear in my work. So it wasn’t surprising that I wanted to make a bag including one. 
 
I had used wings in my work before but never a winged heart, which is very iconic being not only a symbol of love, passion, but of freedom as well. It seemed the natural choice to develop this as a bag. 
 
I love the idea of making this piece three dimensional and by adding more detail to the feathers with stitching and using a combination of different coloured foiled leather, it really feels like it could fly away. 
 
The bag is made from a quality grained leather and fully lined with a shimmering red foiled leather. Inside is a large useful pocket, with a zip is finished off with a red heart. 
 
The bag is attached To a Lengthy weighted gold chain Allowing the bag to be worn across the body or as a clutch with the chain removed.
